For a while now, I’ve been dealing with that familiar end-of-day ache in my wrist. I assumed it was just part of the job. When ProtoArc sent me their EM11 Vertical Mouse to review, I was hopeful but skeptical. After a full week of using it as my daily driver for work and personal projects, I can say with confidence that this mouse has been a revelation for my comfort and productivity.
I wanted to do a full, in-depth breakdown of every aspect of this mouse, because I am genuinely impressed. Here are my thoughts,

Unboxing and Product Packaging: 10/10
The experience started off strong. The ProtoArc EM11 arrived in a clean, professional, and minimalist box. There were no unnecessary plastics or frustrating clamshell packages. Inside, the mouse was securely nestled, along with a USB-C charging cable and the 2.4G USB receiver. It felt like unboxing a premium product—a simple, satisfying, and straightforward start.
What’s Inside the Box ?
1 x Wireless Vertical Mouse
1 x USD Type C Charging Cable
1 x USB Receiver
1 x User Manual
Mouse Ergonomic Vertical Design: 10/10
This is the main event, and it absolutely delivers. The moment I put my hand on the EM11, I understood the “vertical mouse” concept. The natural “handshake” position felt immediately more comfortable than the twisted forearm position my old mouse forced me into. The sculpted shape and extended wrist rest provide fantastic support, and after my first full eight-hour workday, I noticed a significant reduction in the usual strain in my wrist and forearm. It’s not an exaggeration to say the design is a game-changer for all-day comfort.
DPI (1000/1600/2400): 10/10
I was pleasantly surprised by how useful the adjustable DPI was in my daily workflow. The mouse has a dedicated button right near the scroll wheel to switch between three sensitivity levels: 1000, 1600, and 2400. This was perfect for me. I used the 1000 DPI setting for precise design work in Photoshop, which gave me incredible accuracy. For general web browsing and moving between monitors, I switched to the faster 1600 or 2400 DPI settings. It’s a simple feature, but it’s implemented perfectly and makes the mouse feel incredibly versatile.

Charging (USB Type-C Rechargeable): 10/10
Finally, no more searching for AA batteries or outdated micro-USB cables! The ProtoArc EM11 comes with a built-in rechargeable battery and uses the modern USB Type-C standard for charging. This is a huge convenience. I can just use the same cable that I use for my phone and other devices. It’s a small detail, but it shows that the product was designed for a modern user.
Connectivity (Multi-Device): 10/10
This feature is simply brilliant and has been a massive upgrade for my multi-device setup. The EM11 can connect to three devices at once: one via the included 2.4G USB wireless receiver and two more via Bluetooth. I connected my desktop PC, my work laptop, and my tablet. Switching between them is instantaneous with the press of a single, easy-to-reach button on the bottom. My desk is now free of extra mice, and the whole setup feels cleaner and more efficient.
Battery (500mAh): 9/10
The mouse is equipped with a 500mAh battery, and ProtoArc advertises a two-week battery life. After a full week of heavy, all-day use, I still haven’t had to recharge it, and the battery indicator is still going strong. I’m giving it a 9/10 only because some ultra-premium mice on the market might last a month or longer, but for this price point, a solid two weeks of battery life is absolutely fantastic and more than enough for any user.
Price and Final Thoughts
This is where the ProtoArc EM11 goes from being a great product to an absolute must-buy. The fact that this mouse, with its incredible ergonomics, multi-device connectivity, and premium features, costs only $36 USD is astounding. It performs like a mouse that should cost two or three times as much.
It is, without a doubt, one of the best value-for-money products I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing. If you spend your days at a computer and experience any level of wrist fatigue, do yourself a favor and check this mouse out. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
